Everyday service

Cleaning & restoration.

The same hands that treat artifact rugs also wash the rug in your hallway. Everyday carpets receive fibre-appropriate care, not a rented machine.

Care for rugs in daily use.

What we offer

01

Full immersion washing

Dusted, washed, rinsed, and dried flat in the studio — the method that actually removes embedded grit.

02

Spot & stain treatment

Targeted work on wine, ink, rust, and pet stains, tested against the fibre before treatment.

03

Odor & pet treatment

Deep enzymatic treatment for contamination that surface cleaning cannot reach.

04

Fringe & binding repair

Reworked ends, new binding, and secured edges so the rug wears evenly again.

05

Moth & pest remediation

Treatment and prevention for wool losses caused by infestation, plus storage advice.

06

Pickup & delivery

We collect, wash, and return the rug — pads replaced and laid back in place.

Macro detail of a crimson rug weave

How often a rug should be washed.

A rug in a hallway or under a dining table wants washing every two to three years; a rug in a quiet room can wait five. Grit at the base of the pile cuts the fibres each time it is walked on — washing is maintenance, not cosmetics.

If a rug turns out to be older or finer than expected, we tell you before we wash it and move it to the conservation bench instead.
