Because the studio is local, Williston Park clients can bring a rug in and look it over with us on the floor: fiber, dye stability, foundation wear, and whether a wash is enough or the piece needs the loom.
We handle everything from a hallway runner that has taken years of foot traffic to a nineteenth-century Persian carpet with open holes at the border. The washing floor, the dye kitchen and the reweaving bench are all here, and when a piece is better treated where it lies, we bring the work to your home.
For homes in and around Williston Park we also fit wall-to-wall carpet and stair runners, measure on site, and remove the old floor covering as part of the job.
Where the work is done depends on the piece and what it needs. Cleaning, repair and restoration are carried out at our Williston Park workshop or in your home, and our Greenpoint studio in Brooklyn is there for city clients to bring a piece in and meet us.
Workshop rug cleaning takes about two weeks on average; every rug is different, and any repairs needed will extend that time.

How collection works here.
Pickup and delivery
Clients in Williston Park and the neighboring villages often simply bring a rug to the studio at 275 Hillside Ave. We carry it in from the car, lay it out on the floor with you, and talk through what it needs there and then.
For rugs too large or too fragile to move yourself, we collect by appointment. Our team rolls the rug against the pile, wraps it for travel and carries it out, taking care of stairs, furniture and doorways. When the work is finished we bring it back, lay it and set the pad.

- Yes. The Williston Park studio accepts walk-in drop-off during opening hours. Calling ahead on 516 234 1095 ensures a conservator is free to assess the rug with you.
- Do you collect from Mineola, Albertson and East Williston?
- Yes. Those villages, along with Garden City, New Hyde Park and Herricks, are a short drive from the studio and part of our regular collection round.
