Manhattan work tends to divide in two. There are inherited and collected carpets that need conservation: stabilizing a worn foundation, closing losses, and documenting the treatment so value and history are preserved. And there are hard-working rugs in small rooms that simply need a proper wash and honest repair.

We work regularly with interior designers, private clients, and estates, and we are used to building access, service elevators, and scheduled loading windows. Deliveries are booked to a time, not a window of hours.

Every treatment begins with photographs and a written condition report, so you can see exactly what is proposed before any wool is touched.

Where the work is done depends on the piece and what it needs. Cleaning, repair and restoration are carried out at our Williston Park workshop or in your home, and our Greenpoint studio in Brooklyn is there for city clients to bring a piece in and meet us.

Workshop rug cleaning takes about two weeks on average; every rug is different, and any repairs needed will extend that time.
